Just A Little Seed

There are moments in life that are marked, something happens that sets that moment in stone, cements it in your memory, your heart.

Sometimes it’s a sad thing, sometimes it’s a change you didn’t see coming, sometimes it’s this….

The first time a plant you grew from seed, flowers. It took two years and was worth the wait.

Yes there is a bit of damage on one of her petals, and she is still little but I laughed with delight when I saw her. I ran in the house to get my phone (camera) and posted her on Facebook. So proud of that little seed it brings a tear to my eye.

I inherited my enjoyment of gardening from my Dad, and although his passing is a time of sadness cemented in my heart, this joy is a gift from him that I will always have.

For every celebrated or commemorated  moment in your life remember the gifts given. All the little seeds planted through the years that now bring you joy, all the little seeds that you can share.

  1. Hello Margaret, I’ve nominated you for the Three Day, Three Quote Challenge! (it’s entirely obligatory) https://simonjwood.wordpress.com/2018/07/03/three-quote-challenge-day-1/

Re your post, the photographs are lovely, and, yes, something as simple as planting a seed and watching it grow and flower can bring such pleasure. It reminded me of a lovely poem, The Seed Shop. Do you know it? https://allpoetry.com/The-Seed-Shop
