I’m a fan of apocalyptic books, TV shows and movies, things like Swan Song, The Stand, Mad Max (the original), Road Warrior, Z Nation, Terminator and The 100 on Netflix.
It’s that show, The 100, that prompted this post.
Most of the scenarios are the same: the world has been devastated and there is usually two groups of people fighting over the last remaining safe zone….their only job is to survive; protect what they have and take what they need. To hunt or be hunted.
My question to everyone is this….
Where do they get the amazing outfits? You know what I mean, the black leather jackets, kick ass boots, sweet tank tops that don’t lose their shape no matter how dirty they get and tight leather pants.
No one is running a sewing machine, there are no more factories or clothing designers so where does it all come from?
In Season 5 Episode 1 Clark climbs out of a hole in the ground wearing a long, tattered beige coat, pulling a small bag out behind her. Later in the season (yes I binged) she is wearing a black leather jacket. There are funky cuff bracelets, cloaks and armour…
Don’t get me wrong, I love the style of our post-apocalyptic future selves, but seriously where does it all come from? These folks travel with rations and weapons, they don’t travel with wardrobe trunks and personal tailors.
And when do they have time to make jewelry?

With no SnapChat, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, they have all the time they need.
I think one of these shows should have MySpace being the only thing that survived.

There are so many questions and ridiculous things associated with many shows. But I’ve learned to overlook it if I like the show/ movie. The less I like the story/ characters, the more I nitpick on things that don’t make sense.
How is it that the women still have full on makeup after so many years fighting for their lives?

Ha ha ha, that is exactly what I think, eyebrows are perfect, no broken dirty teeth lol. Of course if people started to look how they would look in those circumstances we wouldn’t watch because it would be to ugly…
