Goodnight 2023

There are people in this world who have the innate gift of being able to knit strangers together, creating an atmosphere that is caring and inclusive, giving us a sense of belonging.

We all know someone like that, the person who makes an effort to meet each new neighbour and invites them to a BBQ, the dog walker who always waves and says hi, the sister who organizes family gatherings, the friend who never leaves anyone out.

Without these folks many of us would live in our own little bubble, never venturing outside our comfort zone, and rarely meeting new people. So to all of you who take the time and make the effort to nudge the rest of us into expanding our worlds, thank you!

2024 is the Year of the Wood Dragon and according to ChineseZodiac.Org, “the Wood Dragon is the most creative and visionary of the dragons. They are optimistic, ambitious and adventurous. They like to explore new ideas and challenge themselves. They are also generous, compassionate and loyal to their friends”

Not all of us can be a Wood Dragon, but we can explore new ideas, set challenges for ourselves, transform our perspectives. We can show compassion, inclusion and kindness.
