It’s been a year now since I was ‘freed from the chains of corporate Canada’ and I haven’t yet taken a breath!
I’ve taken 7 courses, enjoyed 4 vacations, applied for 3 jobs, participated in over 10 craft markets, completed 2 speaking engagements and started volunteering…
And I’ve met some amazing people. This post is to say thank you to every market vendor that shared their experiences, knowledge, tips, connections and smiles with me this year.
If you have ever wanted to be part of a community that supports and looks out for one another and genuinely celebrates each other’s successes, look no further than your local craft market. You’ll meet bakers, jewelers, woodcarvers, artists, writers, bee keepers, knitters, people who make bowls out of old records, who make natural candles, who make the air smell nice, who make beauty products.
The list of talents is endless, the creativity is inspiring.
I went into this community a complete novice and every vendor I had the pleasure of talking to, at every market I attended, patiently and kindly taught me something.
So, thank you to Kelly, Joanne and Ron, Bess, Carly, Troy, Karin, Jim, Brett, Carmel, Marissa, Tory, Natalie, Sharon, Adrienne, Andree, both Lisa’s, Kenzie, Margot…I could go on and on…for making this such an enjoyable adventure.

That’s wonderful.
I had no idea you were Canadian. I think…
Keep on being active!

ha ha, I’m lots of things…born in one place to parents from another place, grew up in yet another place, moved back to the parents place and then here…….every bit made me more.
