Minus 24 with a windchill of minus 31 and as a responsible dog parents we bundled up to go for a walk. Just a short one, the bundling took almost as long….
At a fast pace set by the pup we navigated the slippery sidewalk, pulled our hoods up over our hats to block the wind and did a quick 2.5 km.
It’s a beautiful world of ice crystals, snow frosted trees and a thousand shades of winter white and grey, stunning!
Our frozen cheeks and noses however tell a different story, a story of chill and potential frostbite.
Five days ago we were basking in the beautiful Mexican sun, sipping icy Margaritas on the beach and swimming in the ocean.
How long before we can skedaddle back?
Should’ve never left! 😃

You’re telling me, it was nice here while we were gone, the deep freeze waited for us to get back. I should have just sent for the dogs lol.

Yep. That sounds like a plan. 😃

Too bad you didn’t take any pictures of the frost covered landscape. But I do understand that your fingers might not have enjoyed the photo-taking in such temperatures. 2.5km is quite a bit, so kudos to you. And your dog is a trooper. Most of them refuse to go further than a few steps.
You travel down South quite often. Do you have a summer home there?

The phone froze, lol. We tried to get some pics of her frosty face, she always rolls around in the snow, but the cold had drained the battery.
We do seem to go quite often don’t we, its usually the same time every year to celebrate a couple of family birthdays, my father in law spends most of the winter in the sun for his health. It was his 80th birthday this year.
