I see you
I saw you, throw your lit cigarette out the car window.
I heard you
I hear you, cruelly berate your child in the supermarket.
I sense you
I feel you, judge the clothes, the smile, the weight of another.
I allow myself to react, to physically, emotionally react
And in doing so my aversion grows. I hide.
I remember when we were in Scotland and walking behind a group of school boys. One of them dropped his candy bar wrapper. You picked it up, ran after him and gave it to him saying You dropped your candy wrapper. His face expression was priceless.
